Witchy Wednesday Activity

Welcome to another Witchy Activity Wednesday! Every week, we post a new witchy activity for you to try out. This can be anything from writing prompts and spells, to rituals and meditations. Our goal is to provide you with some fun and easy ways to stay connected to your spirituality, and to help you on your witchy journey.

This weeks activity will be adapting the scientific method into witchcraft. Using the scientific method, choose a simple spell or ritual that resonates with you - perhaps a protection spell, a manifestation ritual, a spell jar, or a tarot reading. Set your intention, gather your tools, and create a sacred space for your experiment. Embrace the alchemy of science and magick as you weave your intentions into the fabric of the universe. 

Science and Magick

As we embark on our magical journeys, we often find ourselves at a crossroads between science and magick. Some may believe that these two realms are polar opposites, while others see them as intertwined forces that can enhance our craft. Today, let's delve into the importance of experimentation in bridging the gap between science and magick.

In our practice, we are constantly seeking to understand the mysteries of the universe and harness its energies for our spells and rituals. Science provides us with a structured approach to experimentation, allowing us to observe, hypothesize, and test our beliefs in a systematic manner. By incorporating scientific methods into our craft, we can gain a deeper understanding of the underlying principles that govern the mystical forces we work with.

However, let us not forget the essence of magick - the intangible, the unseen, the unexplainable. Magick is defined to some as science we don't have a name for yet. Magick transcends the boundaries of traditional science, tapping into the realms of intuition, energy, and spirituality. It is through our experimentation with spells, rituals, and divination that we truly connect with the mystical forces that guide us on our path.

The Scientific Method: 

1.) Define the problem (Reason for doing the spell)

2.) Gather background information

3.) Form a hypothesis

4.) Make observations

5.) Test the hypothesis

6.) Draw conclusions 

Record your results in your Book of Shadows, Grimoire, or magickal notebook but also post them in our 13 Moons Community Forum to explore what your fellow witches are doing for their experiment.
